Here are the retreat goals:

Review the current state of the behavioral health system, including capacity, demand, outcomes, and emerging trends.

Engage in dialogue about high-priority gaps across prevention, crisis response, treatment, recovery supports, and housing.

Discuss the ethics of allocating scarce resources, including how to balance equity, transparency, and sustainability.

Identify core priorities in a future environment where funding may become more limited than it is today.

Resource Allocation Presentation
The second half of the retreat will focus on a framework for ethical resource allocation. Dr. Michael Gillette, a nationally known expert in healthcare ethics, has prepared a video presentation specifically for boards and providers as a primer on ethical resource allocation.
