Upcoming Board Member Vacancies – Terms Begin July 2025

Are you passionate about mental health and recovery in Union County? Do you want to help shape the future of services that support individuals and families in need? This is your opportunity to step up and serve!

​

Join the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County (MHRBUC)
We’re looking for dedicated community members to join our volunteer Board. As a Board member, you’ll play a key role in planning, funding, and evaluating the mental health and addiction recovery services that impact lives across our county.

​

Who We Are
Established by Ohio law, MHRBUC is led by a diverse group of 14 Union County residents — including clinicians, recovery experts, community advocates, and people with lived experience. Together, we bring a wide range of perspectives to the table and work toward one common goal: improving mental health and recovery outcomes in our community.

​

What Board Members Do

  • Attend monthly meetings (typically the third Thursday, 7:30–9:00 AM)

  • Participate in subcommittees (as needed)

  • Complete at least one continuing education session annually

  • Contribute 2–4 hours per month to Board activities

​

Appointment Details

  • 8 members are appointed by the Union County Commissioners

  • 6 members are appointed by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services

  • Terms last four years, with the possibility of reappointment

 

We currently have openings for terms beginning July 1, 2025, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds—especially those with lived experience or a passion for helping others.
